What the heck! Thos crap is a sun compass not an actual one

The same compass is aviable for free at the creators web page as a web app u simply have to add it as a bookmark or as a start screen and then u go u got the same app for free

junk, this does not work well at all and the developer has no place to request a refund and removal

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! This is a stupid app and it doesnt work. I know which way north is, but apparently this doesnt. Dont buy this dumb app.

Stupid me bought this while on the run and not reading reviews. Ill never do that again! What junk. This is the first review Ive ever written because its really THAT bad. Doesnt work and is filled with spam buttons.

Total waste of money, does not work. "North" is always random and NEVER in right direction. What a joke.

Its only the picture that resembles a compass.

... it is *not* a free-wheeling compass. think of it more like a "sundial" than a compass. you already know that the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west. you also know that the suns position on the earths latitude changes seasonally. well, this app uses that information to provide you accurate orientation. so stop complaining ... your 99¢ is better spent on this, than some artery-clogging dollar special at a burger joint.

that uses location services in google maps. It is subject to any distortions in google maps. I understood what it was when I got it and liked the design and idea, regardless of the ratings, but do not like the link to location services or google maps, so I deleted it. Appears to be a sundial for the iPhone that orients with shadow and is used for direction.

This app is usefull on Apple "I" devices without gps. If you know astronomy very well, this app wont help you much. But for the rest of us, it helps! I want to use it to learn how the sun moves through the sky during the year. Find a nearby place with free wifi. Have location services turned on. The location of most wifi hotspots is known. Apple uses it to find a lost iPod touch! Once the app knows your location, it can give you accurate directions! You can go hiking ten miles from the wifi hotspot and still get accurate directions from the device. Please remember the polynesions sailed the pacific ocean just by watching the sun and stars!

To use this app, you point the iPhone at the sun. Then the compass will be correct. Its that easy! The developer should probably add some text to the main display, saying "Point iPhone at the sun" since some people dont seem to get that. Im deducting one star for the unnecessary website buttons.

READ THIS! This works. I set up my location and it said the sun was southeast. If I were looking at the sun it would be southeast. If I turned to my right it would be exactly South. Get it? If you dont,then read this again.

Scam. Does not work. Not a real compass. Dont waste your money

This is basically a "sun compass" and it does what is promises...shows you where true north is when the sun is shining. As a photographer I use it frequently to estimate when good lighting conditions might be present for other times of the day. The iPod Touch doesnt have a built-in magnetic compass so this is the best and only app that gives you an indication of direction.

As i dont like to read manual, hence an Apple user, I picked up this compass over a year ago. I tried it on two iPhones and an iPad. Completely useless. It does not work. In fact, it irks me to see something so useless still in the Apple Store. I wish theyd dump applications that have one star averages that outweigh 4s and 5s combined. This is junk. Although, if youre one of those guys who like to make things work that others cannot. Youll love this. It will keep you busy FOREVER.

It doesnt even belong on the application. This is a scam and 100% junk. Id rather wipe my butt with the dollar I just spent.

THIS APP DOESNT WORK ON MY IPHONE!!!! THERE IS A REASON IT HAS 11 STARS!!!
